Power-Up Punch being gone is a bit of a disappointment, but to be fair it was only useful on Mega Kangaskhan. I think Quash has some use in Doubles that I am not aware of, but Confide is almost entirely useless. I guess I need to pack a few more Escape Ropes in this game).Īs for the other TMs, I am not sure why Quash and Confide are still TMs.
(I am a bit disappointed that Dig is gone, if only because you can use it to escape from caves. I expect it to be the Bug-type version of Giga Drain. Leech Life better be seriously buffed if it is actually a TM now. The lava on Hawaii is also made up of relatively unstable metal compounds like Iron and magnesium which like to react with things (Unlike say quartz) so once it's eroded by water and becomes sediment and something is trapped in it under the right conditions the odds of them surviving is low as they react to become more stable compounds. Ash is generally good at fossil preservation if it's fine (Vesiuvius and Pompeii being an example of what can happen and eventually the voids could have been filled naturally by peculating water depositing minerals over time instead of the plaster the archaeologists used) but because the volcanoes in Hawaii are shield volcanoes with high mafic content and low viscosity lava you don't get much ashfall unlike the of the masses of ash you get from a felsic or intemediate eruption. I'm a geologist the problem with Hawaii is that it's all Igneous rock from the volcanoes and not sedimentary rock which would contain fossils and the conditions for fossil formation is poor in most biomes as well as reworked igneous based sands being poor for fossilization. It's apparently very difficult to edit the save data of the demo. In comparison, the ORAS demo was very small and scrubbed of many unnecessary blocks. Many other data blocks in the demo go unused. The save data for the demo is larger than the save data for XY.īox data is present in the demo, but inaccessible. There's an unknown held item that affects a Pokemon in battle, plus an unknown Full Heal based item like the Lava Cookie. 29 Z-crystals total, then small and large versions of the same items. The three new move TMs are unknown, but replace Incinerate, Retaliate, and Flash.ĩ20 items in total, 145 items being new to Gen VII.ĥ8 of the new items are related to Z-moves.
Hone Claws was replaced with Work Up, Dig was replaced with Leech Life, Struggle Bug was replaced with Fly, Rock Smash was replaced with Surf, and Power Up Punch was replaced with Waterfall. There are 11 special Z-moves, like Pulverizing Pancake.
